Quality Management System

AES has established, documented, implemented and maintains a quality management system and continually improves its effectiveness in accordance with the requirements of the national standard ISO 9001:2015 Quality management systems – Requirements.

The AES Quality Management System is certified by UL-DQS, Certificate Registration Number 10002689 QM08.

Repair Process

When your product is received at AES, our receiving specialists will create a unique identifier for your repair called a “1A” number.  We generate what we call a Service ID sheet which includes the 1A number, your name, receipt date, manufacturer, part number, description and serial number of the repair and any complaint that you are able to provide related to the repair.  This 1A sheet travels with the repair throughout the process.   Our computer system allows us to identify the location of all 1As throughout the process.

This 1A number becomes a permanent part of the unit.  If the item were to come back, our system gives us instant access to the fact this unit was repaired previously.  We see all the previous repair information instantly related to that unit.

After the unit has been checked in properly, the unit is sent for quoting evaluation.  AES offers free quotes for all repairs.  We strive to complete our quoting process within 48 hours.  Our Customer Service department will send you a quote for the repair stating terms and conditions and request approval for the repair.

Once the quote has been approved, the repair is scheduled and placed into the repair process.  Each repair is given an estimated ship date which is utilized by the scheduling, technicians and customer service to ensure your product is repaired and returned to you in the promised timeframe.

AES has implemented an ESD Program that meets the requirements of ANSI/ESD S20.20 – 2007 ESD Association Standard for the Development of an Electrostatic Discharge Control Program for Protection of Electrical and Electronic Parts, Assemblies and Equipment.

Our Electronic Technicians performing soldering at AES are trained to meet the requirements of:  IPC J-STD -001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies and IPC 7711/7721 Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies.

Once the repair has been completed, it goes through a final quality check before the unit can be moved to the packaging process.  The repair is then properly packaged and prepared for shipment.
